The 11th Annual Heads Up for Safety Bike Helmet Event

On Saturday, May 18, 2013, the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, and co-sponsors Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center, WLAJ, and the Michigan Association for Justice held the 11th Annual Heads Up for Safety Bike Helmet Event at the Lansing Fire Department station on Marshall Street in Lansing, Michigan. The event was a tremendous success and included free bicycle maintenance and minor repairs courtesy of SPIN Bicycle Shop and a bicycle obstacle course run by the CFT-Sinas Dramis Law Cycling Team.

Numerous bicycles were given away courtesy of the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center, and individual donors including Rod Sadler, Ken Ouelette, DBI Office Products, Joel Finnell, and Rick and Connie Wieber. Most importantly, the event gave away and fitted 465 bicycle helmets. Children from 79 different schools and 15 cities around Mid – Michigan attended the event, which is intended to promote bike safety and prevent injuries.

Since 2003, the co-sponsors have given away 4,689 bicycle helmets! Thank you to all of the sponsors and volunteers that made this event such a tremendous success.
