A vehicle hit and killed a man while he was riding his bicycle in Lansing, Michigan on the night of May 13, 2013. The driver reportedly sped off after striking the cyclist. Lansing Police are looking for a light blue Chevy Cruze who they believe might be involved in the accident, however, they haven’t ruled out other vehicles. The vehicle that hit the cyclist is likely to have front-end damage. Anyone with information about this incident should call the Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600.
The bicycle accident fatality occurred around 11:30 p.m. outside of Sparrow Hospital, near the intersection of Pennsylvania and Michigan. It is reported that the cyclist was possibly crossing the intersection when he was hit. Lansing Police report the cyclist killed was a 69-year old man. He died an hour after being rushed to the hospital.
This is the second hit and run involving a cyclist in Lansing this past month.
